I have decided to restart the ol' blog. I've got some new work, decent stuff from this semester I guess. Maybe not, it's actually fairly ugly for the most part. But I'm proud of my conviction, and the fact that I can pull off an ugly piece because the thought behind it and the emotions involved are valid and powerful enough to make it a fascinating thing. Apologies for the terrible photo quality. My phone's the only camera I have here.

For sculpture, the assignment was to "securely attach five rocks to a suitable 12x12 surface", so I took these really malleable rocks I had (weird, right?) and carved chess pieces from them, then placed them on the chess board I made in an arrangement where it was impossible to move any piece according to the rules of chess. My teacher damn near shit his pants.

WIP's of my sculptural assignment in ceramics. I sculpted my shoe, what you see it 100% clay. I'm like a proud father of my baby shoe. So lame.

For this we had to make an 11x17 collage, then enlarge a 3x5 section of it. My theme was "I See the City This Way".

One of three drawings of a rose for drawing. This is cut vellum, I think it's pretty neat.
And I'm writing a blog for ACAD now, which can be found here.
