I took pictures of my 21 best drawings from the semester, but 2 of them got lost in the shuffle between my camera and my computer. SO I present my 19 best drawings from figure drawing, taught by the Chris Cran.
These would be 30 minute poses, for the most part. I wish I could say I gave each drawing 100%, but after drawing the same old smelly cooter/wang for 6 hours, you stop caring. This is counter-intuitively beneficial to the outcome of the drawing.
The more linear they are, the earlier I did them. I completely abandoned lines and "drawing" by the end of the semester (not to sound more pretentious that I actually am), instead just putting down a thick coat of willow charcoal, which can be best described as wispy. It acts almost like a liquid on the surface of the paper. You can push it around and essentially just make shapes with the puddle of charcoal. The most recent drawing is the 6th down, circa 3-ish weeks ago today.
